Quayle is running for Congress.
That would be Ben Quayle, son of former Indiana 4th District Congressman Dan Quayle and his wife Marilyn.
Ben Quayle is a lawyer in Arizona and will be seeking the seat of retiring US Representative John Shadegg.
The elder Mr. Quayle told FOX News in Arizona:
"The big news is my son, Ben Quayle, today filed his papers for congressman in the 3rd Congressional District here in Arizona," Quayle said. "That, in the Quayle family, is big news. Marilyn and I are absolutely thrilled that he's running for Congress. We hope that he does well. We're convinced that he'll be successful and we're very hopeful that he'll be the next congressman from the 3rd Congressional District here. He's filing his papers today."
The elder Quayle won his first election as Congressman representing Huntington, Fort Wayne, Auburn, Angola, Kendallville and other communities of northeast Indiana in 1976. The younger Quayle was born just 3 days after his Dad was first elected.
