It is to Blake Sebring's credit that he credited FWOb with bringing a story about the Fort Wayne Komets to his attention. Mr. Sebring is a sports reporter for the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel and composes the 'Tailing the Komets' weblog for the News-Sentinel website.
Too often, print and electronic media outlets fail to acknowledge weblogs as sources of content. In this case, FWOb wouldn't have minded if Mr. Sebring had not acknowledged FWOb as the weblog post was not itself original content but publicized a California reporters column.
However, FWOb and other regional weblogs have often enough seen original content go unacknowleged as primary sources by mainstream media that it is heartening to see Mr. Sebring's gesture.
