« Kennedy's Request to City Council: Judge Ye or Judge Ye Not | Main | Mayor Meyers and Pigeons »

Laura McCaffery

There must also have been pigeon problems when Robert Meyers was mayor of Fort Wayne. At that time I attended a convention dinner at the Coliseum. The main entree was cornish hen. When Mayor Meyers welcomed us, he looked at his plate and quipped that he had an idea how they were getting rid of the excess pigeons at city hall. People laughed, but I think a few doubts were raised.
