So, that's what it was. Not much. Seemed more like a strong wind and a large bird overhead. Things mildly rattled, thought some tenant was at the door knocking lightly. I was in a 5.5 in Monterey in 1970 that felt like a plane had crashed just behind the house and was skidding toward me.
