I couldn't be more proud of you... in your professional career and in your personal life! I know your family must feel the same way. All of us from Ft. Wayne, IN feel such pride when you say you grew up here. You are a role model to all young children and you still have such a young heart!
I grew up with you,Rod, - Junior High, High School, and even college. You haven't changed. I am always proud to call you, "friend."
My husband was on the internet buying us tickets to the Hall of Fame induction the minute we heard the news. I can't wait to watch you receive this award.
Still feel connected to my childhood friend,
Lisa Mettert

Great memories at Purdue, seeing Rod literally hurdle an would-be tackler after intercepting a throw, and then playing both offense as receiver and defense against IU. Thank you for the memories and a nomination well deserved! Rich B. Kittery, Maine.
