Don Chava's Mexican Grill has moved into the former location the The Sportsman's Neighborhood Bar at 1234 N. Wells Street just north of downtown.
Stephen Parker notes at the Around Fort Wayne weblog that the murals gracing The Sportsman's Bar are now gone.
Mr. Parker also reports that The Firehouse Cafe will be serving Cajun jambalaya, red beans and rice and southern pecan pie on Tuesday, February 5th, for Mardi Gras from 11 AM to 2 PM. The Firehouse Cafe is located at 226 W. Washington Boulevard just east of the library.

My father and brother will be thrilled. I think they collect Mexican Restaurants around the Fort like no one else.

Looks like a wonderful place; good location and concept.
Too bad an intolerant Fort Wayne City Council has told me that they don't want me to spend my money there, being a smoker.
