What a great story; and I loved that the car's owner's first question was whether hre bowling ball was still in the trunk!

And the payoff is that it WAS - but it fell out when the car was recovered, and rolled back into the river!

I wonder if those in Fort Wayne who book conventions have the decency to warn potential tourists to our city that if they smoke, they will have to go outside in the rain or snow to do so? Chances are, they do not. Tourists who smoke (probably 20-30% of those who come here) spend their hard-earned money and precious time coming to a city that views them as but discusting people, as unwanted health hazards (except for their tourist dollars, of course). I would suggest to them that they go somewhere else, where the government doesn't stick their nose so far into private matters.
