Ed. note: Unfortunately, the ad was a jpg. image and not scanned from the original source. The publication in which it appeared is unknown. A site selling the ad listed the year of publication as 1939. I suspect it appeared in Life, Look or Colliers.

The ad itself was listed online for $50 and has been marked as sold at this URL: http://www.adclassix.com/ads2/39desotoclombard.htm

The ad was also listed for sale on Ebay in 2005.

Ms. Lombard was featured on the cover of Life in October of 1938. A copy of that edition is currently for sale on Ebay.
