Mark this on your calendar -- a historic scoop for the new media. Congratulations. One wonders where the full-time staffs of our two local newspapers have been spending their time. In the "revitalized" downtown of some distant city, perhaps?

I don't know where the media was, but I know where Nelson Peters is- according to today's News-Sentinel:

Serving as mayor, Peters said, would allow him to continue efforts to make local government more efficient and to work toward other goals, including downtown revitalization, job creation and public safety. Peters is a member of a delegation leaving today for Providence, R.I., to study that city’s downtown renaissance.
