It would be interesting to see some statistics regarding interchange traffic fatalities. I think that a traffic light on the east side of I-469 would greatly improve the situation. But that won’t do much good if you have people that run through on red.

Personally, I am not a fan of the cloverleaf system. It seems dangerous to have vehicles constantly speeding up, slowing down and merging all at the same time and in a relatively small area. The interchange at SR 14 (Illinois Rd.) and I-69 seems like a nightmare. But the interchange at SR 37 and I-469, which is controlled by traffic signals, seems a lot safer. But who knows, that’s just my perception as a driver. The numbers may tell a different story.
