1) Emotional appeals from chained young women aside, Burma doesn't need democracy primarily; it needs absolute property rights and the investment that brings (as does Indiana, for that matter). 2) The News-Sentinel, bless its desperate heart, needs to expend its scarce resources, or at least some effort, covering Fort Wayne's non-Burmese population (its actual subscribers). 3) And finally, good luck to young Linsenmayer and his editors on the new jobs this big-city type clipping will undoubtedly attract so they can get free of the economic mess that Fort Wayne has become while we were worried sick about what was going on along the Mekong.
