Longtime city councilman Don Schmidt talks with Mitch Harper of Fort Wayne Observed about former mayor Ivan Lebamoff.
Mr. Schmidt was first elected in 1971, the same year Mr. Lebamoff was elected as mayor.
"You always knew where you stood with him," remembered Mr. Schmidt, who summed up Mr. Lebamoff as a man and a mayor thusly: "He told it like it was."
