Kara Hull continues her reporting on the former Tri-State University media policy:
The publicity surrounding Tri-State University’s “totally misinterpreted” new media rule was enough to warrant pulling the policy, Tri-State President Earl Brooks said Wednesday.
[...]The purpose of the policy – which was to keep students safe and assist the media – was badly portrayed, Brooks said.“It’s almost as if no one was listening to what our intent was,” he said Wednesday afternoon. “It’s never been our intent to have anything except an open forum on our campus. Certainly, we’re not about violating freedom of speech or anything like that.”
