Jon Swerens notes an AP report of some Fort Wayne residents making us all proud...or not.
Love 'em or hate 'em, the little stands along U.S. 49 have a Hurricane Katrina T-shirt to fit most anyone.
[...]One of the busiest stands is run by Dave Anderson and Kent Rybolt, both of Fort Wayne, Ind. They're working for another Indiana man who came up with the idea for the shirts.
Shirts go for $10 and $15, depending on the design and the stand, and Rybolt said sales totaled about $9,000 over the first four days.
Rybolt and Anderson don't know if any of the profits will go to hurricane relief, and say not many people have asked. Some stop and shop, and a few voice their displeasure.
"We had one lady drive by and yell, 'You should be ashamed of yourself. People died out there,'" said Anderson. The stand is within a mile of heavily damaged businesses and homes.
UPDATE: This AP story appears in this morning's JG.
