Helmke Yale Classmate To Be Named Incoming White House Counsel
Politico.com is reporting that Greg Craig, a Yale Law School classmate of Paul Helmke and Bill and Hillary Clinton, will be named as Chief White House Counsel by President-Elect Barack Obama.
Mr. Craig is a well-known Washington lawyer who led the impeachment defense of President Bill Clinton.
All of you who voted for "change", how's the line-up of old clintonistas working out for you?

It's working out great. Middle Class Americans prospered during the Clinton years, and suffered under Bush V.2. Glad to see experienced people on baord, and even more glad to see the right wingnuts cringe - like most moderate Americans had to do in 2000. At least we have a President who can pronounce "nuclear," and speak proper English.
You have to expect Obama to tap people with experience so the first 100 days are not a disaster. I'll toss you one concession. Can't stand Rahm and he's part of the current economic problem, so he's not likely to be a solution.

Mr. Craig also has a somewhat "infamous" client list as well, including John Hinckley, Elian Gonzalez's father, and hand full of other whackjobs & murderers.

Where is Mr. Peabody?

Mr. Wallace-You are part of a now shrinking cult. The stock market, which is always looking at the future, has been in free-fall since Obama's victory. They apparently don't have much hope for the change.

Oh, I just can't pass this one up.
John Wallace says in response to a perfectly legitimate question:
"At least we have a President who can pronounce "nuclear," and speak proper English."
What a positively brilliant way of deciding who is qualified to be the leader of the free world. Pronunciation!
Logic would follow I guess, that your inability to spell correctly (see above post) leaves you unqualified to perform certain tasks as well?
Are pronunciation, correct use of grammar and spelling indicative of intelligence?
You may want to research that.

Tim - I didn't proof my post, but I assure you I can spell the word "board," which was the only error in my post. It's a typo as I have big fat fingers.
As for the "free world," it's clear that the voter's choice is respected on the world stage, and people across the globe are glad to see W go.
As for John Wonderly's linking the market to Obama, I may be wrong but the market was tanking before November 4, and I don't see a direct link to the election. And the economic freefall is happening globally, not just here in the U.S.
I do respect the fact that we don't agree, but I am enjoying the fact that the right wing has to simmer and stew now, like moderates and Democrats had to after Bush was placed in office...
Should we revisit the outcome of the 2000 election fiasco? The difference between then and now is there is no doubt that Obama won.

John Wonderly,
I didn't vote for Obama either. But uncertainty is causing the market free fall. The stock market will still go up under even a bad president because at least the guy is predictable.

Mr. Enders-No, absolute certainty is causing the market free fall since November 4th. Everyone knows the policies The One campaigned on and they are NOT free market friendly.
