Mitch Harper at the NRA Annual Convention

I'll be in Louisville, Kentucky, on Friday attending a legal seminar sponsored by the National Rifle Association Foundation.

The seminar is being held in conjunction with the NRA's Annual Meeting.

The main seminar topic will focus on the case of District of Columbia v. Heller which is currently before the US Supreme Court.

Say "hi" to Paul Helmke for me.

Ed. note: Actually, I did tell Paul about the CLE credits available at the NRA.

Even he agreed it was a reasonable cost for the credits.
(As an aside and for full disclosure - I am traveling and attending on my own dime.)

Paul and I have divergent views on issues regarding the right to keep and bear arms. However, I think it would have been interesting if he did attend. Think of the video opportunity!

You're not really comparing yourself to Stephen Colbert, are you Mitch? :-)

Ed. note: At least for the "brass" comment.

So, what do you prefer, Mitch? 9mm, .45, .40?

Did you talk to Ted Nugent?

Well, here is to all the legal hunters across the nation. A special heads-up to hunt and fire arms at my family homestead in Montana.

Granted all...still have to apply for a License, Permit and Registration to hunt
even on private land.

We...Love our democracy and freedom...when it's independantly owned.

We need to get the government out of all of our businesses.

Go Mitch...Mr. Harper:

Protect our 2nd Amendment rights!

We all need the right to hunt game & food, protect ourselves & others. I would be furious if our right to own a gun was against the law.
