Major power outage - New Haven - Georgetown areas

Persons in the New Haven and Maysville Road/East State area are reporting a power outage.

The cause is reportedly centered on the I & M Substation at IND 930 and Estella Avenue in New Haven - about a mile east of the Coliseum Boulevard and IN 930 cloverleaf.

I & M expects power to be restored about midnight.

Comments

Kudos to I&M for getting the power back on (in at least PART of the outage area) much earlier than midnight. We lost power in the Kensington Downs East neighborhood and got it back about 9:10 p.m.

This was tied into the explosion that happened in New Haven in the late afternoon....
