The Detroit Pistons will once again have a connection to their birthplace of Fort Wayne.
The National Basketball Association has announced that the D-Leagure Mad Ants will become an affiliate of the Detroit Pistons.
Detroit will share the affiliation of the Mad Ants with the Indiana Pacers.

Now I am really disappointed. I had hoped that the team would become affiliated with the Detroit Pistons and bring back our historic right to use the name "Fort Wayne (Zollner) Pistons."
"Mad Ants" was the only acceptable name in a bunch of predetermined, overused team names ...but the "Pistons" name belongs in Fort Wayne
