Go to a Farmer's Market Saturday

Onions_red_farmers_market_july

The weekend recommendation is that you go to a farmer's market for fresh produce on Saturday.

The red onions shown above are at Hardy's Farm Market on Knoll Road between Waynedale and Aboite. They are also open weekdays as is Schmucker's on Doty Road in Milan Township northeast of Fort Wayne off State Road 37.

On Saturdays, you have additional options such as YLNI's Barr Street Market, the South Side Market on Warsaw Street between Rudisill and Pontiac. and Roanoke's downtown farmer's market.

...and don't forget the good ol' Saloman Farm (part of the FW Parks Dept) market out on Dupont Road, which I believe is each Wednesday....good stuff, and lots of energetic Farm Camp young folks out there
