The Nicole Manske interview

Today marks the running of the Indianapolis 500. That means news on FWOb about former WANE TV reporter Nicole Manske, who now works as an anchor for The SPEED Report on the SPEED Network.

Ms. Manske will serve as a pit reporter during today's Indy 500 for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network.

Catch this interview with Ms. Manske posted on YouTube:

Ms. Manske's profile on The SPEED Report has her answering a question about her favorite driver this way:

I may be a bit biased so I won't really answer, but I have a lot of respect for drivers…especially the ones who've been able to balance the success of their careers with the other things in life that are important…like family.

No word yet on which driver in the 2007 Indy 500 may the subject of Ms. Manske's "bias" this year.

Did ya notice that she "kind of" bashes on her employer when Dave "The King" Wilson askes her where she'll be race weekend?? (Speed is owned by Fox; Fox has invested heavily in covering NASCAR...) I doubt that Fox wants her at Indy doing anything at all that's covered by their primary NASCAR "partner" ESPN/ABC.
If I was ESPN I'd be trying to buy her contract and have her on the network covering both series. Jamie Little and Brienne Pedigo are OK but Nicole is knowledgeable and good on camera.
