Adam Mildred is "fired up" in his radio ad

Mildred_head_shot_feb_2006Radio commercials ran yesterday for the at-large city council candidacy of Republican Adam Mildred.

John McGauley, the Allen County Recorder, is Mr. Mildred's campaign chairman.  The radio spots for Mr. Mildred use the same sort of gentle humor that Mr. McGauley used in his campaign for County Recorder last year.

You may listen to Mr. Mildred's radio commercial here.

Mr. McGauley's commercials received statewide praise last year.  The Indiana Week in Review panel on public television cited the McGauley ad. So did Matt Tully of the Indianapolis Star on his weblog. You can listen to the 2006 McGauley for Recorder spot here.

Jim Shella of WISH-TV in Indianapolis and moderator of Indiana Week of Review noted on his weblog:

*BEST CAMPAIGN AD  The radio ad by new Allen County Recorder John McGauley which parodied negative ads.

This is an interesting mix of media - a radio ad to help drive traffic to his website. Nice job, Adam (and John). I'm still waiting for an instrumental ad, though!

John McGauley may have missed his calling. Another creative spot. The At-Large race is going to be most interesting. Although, Crawford is probably a lock for the first spot, it be very hard to predict who will get the other two spots out of the GOP primary.

I agree, Crawford absolutely has to be a lock--and deservedly so. Adam Mildred is a great candidate and would complement the council quite well. We're lucky to have candidates like these two in the Summit City.
